Tour Our Classroom
As we have moved recently, photos of the new classroom will be coming soon.
During certain times of the day, students can read in the bean bag or with our big lobster pillow. It's easy to get lost in a good book while getting cozy in our little library. Our classroom library is leveled and organized by common genre, series, or author so that students can more easily choose books that are at their appropriate level for independent reading.
We hold class meetings, gather for mini lessons, and do lots of read-alouds, such as Matilda, in our group area.

We do not have a "teacher desk" in our classroom. However, we have 3 computers where students can take reading comprehension tests, play math games, or complete research on pre-approved websites.

This is our guided reading table. It is here where students read with me. We use reading strategies to help us become more fluent readers and understand what we read.
