FCAT Testing Schedule: April 11-14 (Make-ups: April 18-22)
Third grade students are tested in the subjects of Reading and Mathematics.  Preparation for the FCAT is an on-going, year long process, and it is imperative that students come to school everyday, unless they are sick or there is a family emergency.

Completion of homework and class assignments is VERY important and contributes to the readiness level for the FCAT.

Agendas (Student planners): Students will write down daily assignments in their agendas, and if an assignment is circled/initialed by me in red, it needs to be completed for homework and ready to be turned in the next morning. It is the student's responsibility to complete and keep them updated on a daily basis.

Please fill out and return important beginning of the year paperwork (data sheet, etc.) students will be bringing home the first week of school, as soon as possible.

If you have any questions or ever need to schedule a conference, I am available from 11:05-11:45 a.m., or 3:15-3:45 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. You may call the school (669-3444) or send me a note, so that a time can be set up.

Your involvement concerning attendance, schoolwork, and a proper bedtime will be greatly beneficial to the success of your child in third grade, and is most appreciated.

Thank you for your cooperation and support in these matters. By working together, we can achieve a successful and rewarding school year for your child.

Mr. Lucas
