Important Information and Procedures
1. Our school day is from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. except on Wednesdays. On Wednesdays, school will dismiss at 2:30 p.m. Please bring your child to school between 8:15 and 8:25 a.m. Students not eating breakfast will need to go directly to their classrooms which will be opened at 8:15. You may walk with them the first week. Children eating breakfast need to go to the pavilion.
2. Breakfast will be served at 8:15 a.m. for $1.00 per day. Lunches will cost $1.75. If your child arrives after the start of school and needs a lunch, they will need to check in at the office and order a lunch.
3. For your convenience, we will meet and greet your children at the office entrance gate daily. After the first few days, it will not be necessary for you to walk your children to their classrooms.
4. Please enter the school grounds using the south gate. Please exit using the north gate. These gates are marked. Student drop-off will be the office gate.
5. There will be before and after school care (ELC) starting the first day of school. The school will be open at 7:00 a.m. for those who have registered and paid for ELC care.
6. Teachers will begin dismissing students at 3:15 p.m. Students will exit school grounds through the side gate. Parents are requested to stay in their vehicles until students are released. There will be school staff that will help your child get in the car safely. Remember to have the pick-up name sign on your dashboard or side window.
7. If your child is on our Marion County bus route, please call the school or contact bus driver Donna Taylor on Meet-the Teacher Day to arrange transportation.
8. All adults who are not employed by the school have to check in at the office to receive a visitor’s sticker before coming onto the campus.
9. You will need to read and sign the packet that your child brings home from school the first week. It is the law that we provide you with a student handbook so that everyone knows the rules. After this week, older students (grades 3, 4, & 5) will receive an agenda book to record homework, important notes from the teacher, and daily/weekly behavior reports. Younger students will have folders. Please sign it daily even if the teacher doesn’t write in it that day.
10. School supplies will be provided by the school this year.
