FREE & REDUCED MEAL BENEFITS - Paper applications for Free & Reduced meals benefits and a return address envelope are provided by Altoona Elementary. On-Line applictions will be available after July 2011. A new application is required each school year unless you receive an letter saying otherwise. Only one application is needed for all students in a household. All paper applications must be returned to school to be processed and approved. All meal applications approved during the 2010-2011 school year will expire on October 4, 2011. Students will continue to receive last years meal benefits for the first 30 school days or until the 2011-2012 application is approved.
Student(s) receiving last years status will be required to pay for all meals after October 4, 2011 if a new meal application for the 2011-2012 school year has not been approved.
Parents will be mailed notification of approval or denial of meal applications.
FOOD ALLERGIES - Please be sure to notify your school office as well as Mrs. Swisher of any FOOD ALLERGIES your student has. Any allergies or special needs requiring substitutions to the regular school meal will require a physicians’ statement.
