We are a free public charter School serving Lake and Southeast Marion county students grades Kindergarten thru Fifth grade. It is the mission of Altoona School to help students develop basic academic skills, to educate them to the greatest extent possible so that they become active learners, and to teach them to be responsible citizens. 

Student Enrollment
Student Enrollment is based on first come, first served basis. Enrollment at each grade level is limited. Altoona School will adhere to Lake County public school calendar and policies.

Location
The Altoona School is located in portable classrooms on the site of the Historic Altoona Elementary Schoolhouse. This school serves students in our community. Students from southeast Marion county are welcome members of our community. 

Recent Accolades
We are happy to announce that 100 percent of our 4th grade students passed the FCAT writing Test this year. Congratulations to Mrs. Reardon's class for a job well done!

FCAT Reading Test results are in and we also congratulate our 3rd graders for having the highest score in the district at 94%!
All third graders passed and will continue on to fourth grade. We are very proud of their hard work!
