Student Code of Conduct
Enrollment will be open on a first come, first serve basis. When capacity is reached, students wishing to enroll will be subject to a lottery selection per Florida Statute 1002.33(10)(e-4) regarding enrollment. Altoona School will adhere to the Lake County Public School calendar.
Altoona School is a K-5 public charter school offering offering an alternative to standard public schools. We offer innovative teaching methods, highly qualified teachers, a committed staff, and a positive atmosphere.
Along with the core academics, Altoona School offers PE, computer lab, library and art. Altoona School also has an after-school 4-H program.

To Achieve learning goals, the Altoona School is dedicated to providing elementary students with a solid academic foundation by incorporating a community rich environment that stimulates and motivates. By integrating the classroom with the community, students will embrace learning to achieve their greatest potential in a complex, changing world.
Our school is involved in a unique and fun program known as BUG, or Bring Up Grades. This program is designed to encourage students to show improvement in academics, behavior or effort during each nine weeks. Students will set a goal and work to reach that goal during the nine weeks. Our goal is to motivate students to do their best to reach their goal. We look forward to honoring our students for their efforts at school!
